Unified Eligibility Assessment
What is the Ryan White Unified Eligibility Assessment (UEA)?
The Unified Eligibility Assessment (UEA) is a required process used to determine if an individual qualifies for services under Virginia’s Ryan White Part B Program. At MHC, our team assists clients in completing the UEA by collecting essential documentation such as proof of income, Virginia residency, and verified HIV-positive status.
Basic Eligibility Requirements Include:
-
Documented HIV-positive status
-
Residency in the state of Virginia
-
Household income at or below 500% of the Federal Poverty Level
-
Insurance Status
-
Proof of identity
Once eligibility is established, clients may access a range of Ryan White-funded services including HIV medical care, medications, insurance assistance, and other supportive services.
